Sammantha Witte

I’m Sammantha! :] I am eighteen ! and a senior at Edsel Ford High School. I loveeeee art ! After high school, I plan on attending Henry Ford Community College, and then later making my way to an art school. I plan to get into graphic design, which is why I was so excited about this class when my counselor offered it to me. You’ll probably see me tooling around town in my sweet black escort. ;] I’m an only child, I really probably wouldn’t have it any other way. I watch cartoons; SpongeBob is probably my favorite. But Fairly Odd Parents is a close second. I have a myspace, it’s basically my life.

WORD DESIGN

for this project, we had to take two words that are the complete opposite and show what they mean, by using only letters. We couldn't use any other pictures or symbols. The two words I chose were, obnoxious, and quiet.

2pt Perspective !

for this project , we took the perspective lines and learned how to draw boxes in perspective . We then had to pick a color scheme and also draw a bunch of boxes , some below the horizon line , some above the horizon line and some on the horizon line .

    SKETCHES .

bored -- in class !

the top two , are just things that i made in illustrator using text , and pictures . the bottom was made with photoshop using pictures and croping and editing them together .

SHAPE SPACE

In this project, we had to create two designs usings organic and geometric designs, by only using three lines! After the lines were made, we had to rotate the design on a 90 degree angle, and also a 45 degree angle. Then when that was done we had to chose a color scheme. The geometric had to be primary, while the organic was secondary. On mine i flipped the two and had secondary on my geometric, and primary on my organic.

       RENDERINGS

we started doing sketches to get a feel for drawing a realistic object & using shading with markers .

Graphic Design

this project , we used illustrator to recreate something that we designed on paper to make a message , or just a design i chose water l'eau is the french word for water .

Dearborn Hills Competition

this is a competiton in which we could enter to make a logo for the Dearborn Hills Civic Association . This was done on illustrator .

PHOTOSHOP

these were made from images and text , then cut the text into the image .

FACE & PLACE

This is a face place project . we took a picture of ourselves and then edited it into either animals or things . i chose a card . and the place is a surrealism background of a grave yard . basically meaning that everyone & everything eventually dies .

This was a tutorial on photo shop where you had to add or delete objects and make layer masks.

RHINOCEROS:

We recently started to use the program Rhinoceros. We had to design a castle using the geometric shapes, and then rendering it, and forming it into a castle like figure. After this was completed we took the shapes we used, and colored them.

The second project that we created in rhino, is a flashlight. This was created by following directions and figuring out the way shapes can be molded.

We recently reconstructed the desks that we sit at , at the Michael Berry Career Center .

Finally we had to make a duck from two spheres .

This was an ideation . where we took what we wanted to create and make a new product . we were offered the choice of a waterbottle, coffemug, or a teapot. i chose a coffemug .

FINISHED PRODUCT

this is the finished product , of mugs above this .

LOGO DESIGN FOR THE PRODUCT
