This is a 'close up' of the emergency area specified in the previous map. The light green circle is a 1/4-mile buffer around the house with the gas break (yellow hazard symbol). Everyone within the circle is in potential risk if the gas mixes and explodes. The map also displays various features around or in the danger area such as churches, parks, schools, and restaurants.

The feature points (churches, schools, parks, etc) and the immediate danger area (green buffer) on the map were created using the editor toolbar in ArcMap. As you can see, most of the area inside the buffer is residential, but one church and Edsel Ford High School are also at risk. | |
