I was able to narrow down the Dearborn area to the city developement area. I decided that this area would have the most success for a new business and be the most promising overall. To get the most visual for my the skate shop, I determined that I would have to be on a major road. I eliminated any area that wasn't within two-hundred feet of either Schaefer or Michigan Ave. After completing what I determined to be a proper way of eliminating some of the surrounding area, I was left with these parcels. These parcels are what I continued to work with as I put more data into the process. The next step I took was to eliminate areas that weren't within a half mile of a park. Being closer to a park would give me an advantage since people buying products from me could easily use them in the area, in a safe manner. This step again, eliminated more parcels. The remain areas are what I was left with. I then conducted one final step to eliminate more parcels from what is seen here. Seeing that fast food chains conduct an extreme amount of research before placing a building in an area, I found that if I was within a quarter mile of at least one of these buildings, I'd be able to use this research that was already done, and use it for my benefit.
