Imane Barakat

Hi, my name is Imane Barakat. I am attending Fordson High School. At the same time I go to college through dual-enrollment and go to the Micheal Berry Career Center for half of the school day.

This portfolio shows some of the work I did in the class. I hope you enjoy it.

BALANCE DRAWING

We were to use either complementary colors or close colors to draw an image.

FACE & PLACE

The objective of this assignment was to choose a human face and combine it with an animal's face. After that we designed a backround and placed the face on there.

TEXT & SHAPE

This project was to take a word and express it's meaning using pictures or shapes or whatever to make the point through.

LITERAL WORD MEANING PROJECT

OBJECTIVE:

To show the meaning of two opposite words by only the letters of the word, meaning only black and white and no extra images added to the letters. This project focused more on how to use space and size to communicate.

SAMSONITE AD

OBJECTIVE:

Before making our own commercial ad we looked around the web for images for people who fit the demographic to whom we're trying to sell the product.

SAMSONITE COLLAGE BOARD

we just got some pictures together that focus on the demographic of our product and made a collage of them.

After getting to know and doing some research about the product we're advertising, we designed our own magazine ad.

These are the ideations I drew before I worked on it on the computer.

This is what my final ad looked like.

PUMA AD

OBJECTIVE:

of this project was to go on the website and collect what elements are used in the website and then arrange those same elements to design a magazine ad for that specific shoe.

These are the first four ideations. Using nothing but pencil, we were to draw four ideas of what our ad might look like; showing the layout and the elements.

After the four

ideations, we drew the final three. This time we used color and showed every specific detail.

Using Adobe Illustrator, we made our final ad and this is what mine looked like.

OBJECTIVE:

Our constructor layed a number of images for us. Our job was to select one of those images and make them an advetisement by adding text and changing around the color of the original image.

PERSPECTIVE EXCERCISES

We took a break from the computers and got into perspective drawings.

3D 2-POINT PERSPECTIVE

OBJECTIVE:

After we were given the instructions for basic 2-perspective shapes, our task was to freehand shetch a design of more complex shapes.

3-D RENDERING

Rendering is a term that means shading to make look 3-dimentional. We started practicing how to render and draw shadows on simple shapes as such. we used different tools like markers, pencil, and tech pens.

3-D RENDERING

Rendering is a term that means shading to make look 3-dimentional. We started practicing how to render and draw shadows on simple shapes as such. we used different tools like markers, pencil, and tech pens.

We then practiced rendering on more complicated forms.

Then, i experimented with color.

After really getting to know the values and where they lay on forms, I became confident enough to ditch the ruler and create free forms that look organic. And showing the form using repetition of lines.

MOUSE PROJECT

OBJECTIVE

The class was assigned to create our own computer mouse on Rhino.
