Hobbies

I like to do a lot of things. My favorite sport is soccer.  Also one of my favorite hobbies which is also going to be my career hopefully is art.  I love to draw but not stupid things though, I mean I like to draw things that have meaning.  When I first started art I was into anime and cartoons and stuff like that but now I try to do more like complete compositions and have more complete ideas and thoughts instead of just drawing a character.

My name is Khalid Alrifai, and I became an artist not too long ago.  I started art 2 years ago in my freshman year.  I tried to develop my art skills as much as i can in these two years and i've gotten pretty far with my teachers' help but I still have a long ways to go.

Sketches/speedforms

These are my speed forms, it was really fun doing these and it was like trying something new.  We were required to sketch really fast not thinking too much about what ur gonna draw. Basically we had to get the main shapes down and then go into detail.

These are speed forms as well but we were required to draw these on a much larger scale and add some shading on them.

Now we're designing mouses so we have to draw a mouse from all the views and then design it on the program rhyno.coming soon!

Photoshop&Illustrator

This is my face and place project, it took a lot of time and hard work.  We had to get a person's face and merge it with an animal. I chose a wolf and a little baby because most other face weren't interesting enought to put in.

This is The shape and text project, it's an ad for a gaming company SQUARE ENIX.

For this project we were supposed to pick two words and arrange them in a way where it shows the meaning.

For this project we had to design shapes and put them together.  It was meant to be like an arabic design.

Rendering

This is the rendering projects that we did in the design concept class.  I arranged them from the first one that I did until the most recent one.  It was kind of challenging to get the right line movement and make it fade more but as you work with the markers they get easier.
