Accomplishments

I have participated in many activities. I also have many hobbies outside of school. Some of these include the following.

Activities

I am currently involved in Business Professional of America. I received a finalist award in computer security at the regional competition. I will be attending state and hopefully I will proceed to nationals.

I was also on the US FIRST Robotics team for two years. While I was on the team I learned many things including programming.

From time to time I like to take part in the school plays and help in tech crew.

Hobbies

To some my hobbies might not seem very interesting. I do rather enjoy them regardless of what others may think of them.

Some of my hobbies include computer building, model rocketry, computer gaming, and photography.

I really enjoy computer building I find it challenging and fun. Here is my computer, this one I built and modified myself I'm not sure if I'll ever be 100% satisfied with it.

Computer gaming is more of an addiction of mine then a hobby. I try to not let it get the best of me but its a blast. I use to be involved in a few gaming leagues including CAL.

Last but not least is photography. This is a passion of mine that I really enjoy. For a while I really thought of being a photographer but once again the world of computers calls my name. So a hobby it remains.

Photoshop and Illustrator Projects

The projects that follow were completed in either Photoshop or Illustrator in the Design Concepts class.

Face and Place

For this project entitled "Face and Place" the objective was to take a person's face and enhance it or change it with other images, such as animals, inanimate objects, etc. Then the image was to be blended with a background that matched the subject. I choose to take Bill Gates and turn him into an alien like creature and give him a space background.

Shape and Text

The objective of this project was to creative a magazine ad. The ad had to incorporate three things text, images, and shapes. I completed this objected by making an ad showing the progression of smoking and what it can do to the heart and lungs.

Literal Word Design

For this project we had to take two opposite words and make a literal picture of those words. For my design I choose the words happy and sad. With those words I made a happy and sad face.

Magazine Ad Design

For the Magazine Ad Design we were to come up with a magazine ad for company of our choice.

Puma Ad Design

For this project the objective was to create a magazine ad based off different sub-companies websites of PUMA.

Sketches

These are sketches that led up to the final projects. Some of these projects were completed in Photoshop and Illustrator. They show the design process.

Additional Work

This is additional work that I have either done on my own or in the Design Concepts class.

Cubes In Motion

I wanted to take a sketch of some cubes in perspective I drew and add a motion blur in Photoshop.  With a small bit of tweaking I came to this effect.

Geometric Design

I wanted to create a design that was geometic on all sides.  This image was created using many layers in photoshop.  I believe the final number of layers was over 300.

Product Design

For the product design project I decided to make a medieval style helm with a more modern appeal.

Mouse Design

This is the final presentation for the mouse project we worked on.  Where we had to design a mouse that wasn't only well designed in form but function as well.
