Students enrolled in Dearborn Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs qualify to apply for many scholarships including those listed below. Check with your high school guidance counselor for other opportunities.
The Otto J. Rowen Scholarship is presented by the Rotary Club of Dearborn each year to multiple graduating students who demonstrate exceptional achievement in Dearborn vocational programs. The funds may be used for post-graduation tuition / training fees, or to purchase specialized materials and equipment to continue in their chosen career.
The Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.
The Chad Eric Steller Memorial Scholarship This Scholarship was created in memory of Chad E. Steller, son of Gary Steller. Gary is honored to have served Dearborn Public Schools constructing and renovating educational facilities for nearly 30 years. Chad’s passion for the construction industry and particularly for educational construction was inspired by his visits in his youth to Dearborn Public Schools construction sites. This includes William Ford Elementary School, Iris Becker Elementary School and others. Chad began his construction career as part of the team during construction of McCollough – Unis building. Through this scholarship fund, Chad’s family hopes to assist a Dearborn student who has a passion for construction as a career.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnaldo Fracassa Food, Beverage, and Hospitality Scholarship This scholarship was established on behalf of Mr. & Mrs. Arnaldo Fracassa. Mr. & Mrs. Arnaldo Fracassa are proud parents to three grown children all of whom attended Dearborn Public Schools. The Fracassas established Arnaldo’s Banquet Center in 1987 after years of catering from their Dearborn home. Everyone feels like family when working with Mr. & Mrs. Arnaldo Fracassa.
