Pre-Education class works with Howe Montessori

The Michael Berry Career Center Pre-Education class of future educators had the wonderful opportunity to work with the Howe Montessori Elementary students for some math tutoring over the last several months.  It started when Ms. Angela, the 3rd grade teacher, gave her students the opportunity to come in 20 minutes early each day of the week to improve their math skills.  She asked a few of our future teachers to help and they were excited to do so.  The 1st and 2nd grade classes got in on the math fun and then the entire Pre-Education class got involved too!  Four students helped every other day from January through March.  While the elementary students worked on improving their math skills, the future teachers worked on their teaching skills!  It was a win-win for everyone!  Thank you Howe Montessori Elementary, Ms. Lynne Osborne
